Other Key Benefits of Hosted Payment & PASS technologies:


A new version of e-automate (version 7.6.5) will be required in order to utilize the integration with Element's Hosted Payments & PASS solution. This next version of e-automate will have all credit/debit card functionality removed; this will include the storage of cardholder data and the suspension of any previously existing integrated payment card processing through e-automate.

e-automate customers can choose one of three paths:
  • Remain on their current version of e-automate and consequently remain non-compliant with the PCI DSS set forth by the PCI SSC, leaving their business open to the penalties from their acquirer, risk losing the ability to accept payment cards from the major card brands (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX, JCB) and assume risk and liability from a potential data breach.
  • Upgrade to the next version of e-automate which will remove cardholder data storage, transmission and processing from the e-automate system, leaving the company to seek out their own alternative solution to storing, transmitting and processing cardholder data whilst also deciphering PCI DSS and what they have to do to reach compliance.
  • RECOMMENDED OPTION: Upgrade to the next version of e-automate and utilize the Hosted Payment and PASS integration with Element Payment Services which will:
    • Remove and migrate the dealership's:
      • Customer cardholder data (from e-automate) to Element's Level 1 PCI DSS compliant processing platform
      • Payment card transmitting, processing and storing to Element using Hosted Payment and PASS tokenization technology
    • Provide the dealership peace of mind and a clear way forward on the necessary steps they must take to be recognized by their acquirer and payment card brands as being PCI DSS compliant through support and guidance from the knowledgeable staff of professionals at Element Payment Services
    • Greatly reduce the time and money burden of PCI DSS compliance on the dealership
